Love and Prayers

Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts.  During this time we ask for privacy for our family to grieve and heal.  Liz and Tom are unable to answer emails, calls, and texts.  However, they do appreciate all the love and prayers you are sending their way.

Many people have asked what they can do..... Liz and Tom would love for you to write a message in the comment section on this post so they can have a keepsake of all your words of comfort.

The mention of my child's name

by Kim Knapp
The mention of my child's name
May bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
Let me hear the beautiful music of his name.
It soothes my broken heart
And sings to my soul.

    1. Thank you, Bryan. We feel blessed to have friends like you to help us when it really counts. We will never forget our vacation together where you all got to "meet" William while he was in my belly. It meant the world to us and judging from all those kicks and wiggles, William surely loved it too. Hugs to you, uncle Bry and auntie Lacey

  4. Dearest Tom and Liz,
I cried tears of joy when Tom told me you two were pregnant with William Patrick. I have since wept tears of sorrow. It is said that God calls the best home, and he certainly welcomed home the best this past Saturday. What a cute little baby with that blond hair he must have gotten from his dad! The pictures of the 3 of you are so precious. Ken and I are keeping you in our prayers. You are so dear to us.

    1. Thank you, Diane. This is tough but we are strong, just like our William. We had the same thoughts about that fuzzy blond hair, we could tell it had that curly wave to it just like Tommy. Your tears are a sign of your love for us and our baby boy, we are comforted by your prayers and support from you both. Love, Liz and Tom

    1. Thank you, Katrina. We find happiness in remembering the 7.5 months of pregnancy we had to be with William and bond together and show his cute baby bump off. As I write this I'm surrounded by family, my nephew Noah is right beside me. I remember Noah feeling William in my belly, and talking with his little cousin. William knew he was loved and we are grateful to have so many memories like this. We are also thankful of friends like you.

They say that greif is the price you pay for loving and living. William filled our hearts with love to last us a lifetime. We may greive throughout our lives but we also know that happy days will out number the sad days. And the strength that William gave us will keep us living life, we feel him all the time. 22. Dear Liz,
My heart is so heavy to write this to you. I read the blog your sister posted; even though your little William only stayed in this world for a short time, his personality is so vivid, like he had lived a whole life. You almost can see he is going to be strong man; he is smart and determined like his mom and dad.
There is no words that can comfort your loss at this time, but dear Liz, we measure life by years, however, life goes beyond those measurable years. He is loved by family and friends, and he is going to live in everyone’s heart forever. He fought so hard to make sure he met all of you who loved him so dearly. What a brave little boy, he is so blessed to leave in his mom’s embrace.
I am thinking of you and praying for you both!
    Love

    1. Thank you, Shirley. Your words brings tears to my eyes. Both Tom and I am so comforted by your compassion. We agree, our William had such a wise look to him as if he knew what was happening, knew he was loved, and was silently saying, "don't worry Mom and Dad". I'll never forget your kind words. I am so proud that William's story has touched you and so many others. I'm glad to have you in my life. Thanks for the prayers, Liz and Tom

    1. I have the biggest smile on my face right now, a proud Mama for sure. We also like thinking of William in that way, our strong little warrior. William had so much strength given all the challenges he faced. He was born a fighter but also had as much love as he had strength.
      Thanks for this,
      Liz
